Storied Plate Mat

Storied is a handmade plate mat that reinterprets the traditional Romanian "ștergar" (EN: wiper). The mats are created using traditional crafts and local materials, and their design is inspired by the socialist architecture of Bucharest. Natural tones are accentuated by the warm texture of woven wool and suggest the illusion of concrete, as seen on the weathered facades of Eastern European buildings.
