The Standby is an unusual watch due to the fact that it is not the hands of the watch that rotate, but the dial. The Standby clock therefore suggests a new perspective of observing the passage of time, namely a passive perspective, of standing still to the passing of time and not being able to do anything to stop it.

Technical Info

The base of the watch is hand made from cast epoxy resin and then sanded. The dial is CNC-cut and UV-printed HIPS, and the hour foot and stem are CNC-cut brass. The recommended battery is AA (included).
